In the Summer

We will decide on whether to continue with the development of our current idea. Really, we would have to brainstorm to ascertain one real problem that we wish to address within the context of Singapore. Brainstorming will help us to define our focus and anchor the stages later on.

Part of the decision to reevaluate our current prototype is that we might not have identified our target users and their needs well the first time round. For this summer period, we will hold more focus groups and pay extra attention to their needs before moving ahead.

When we have identified the needs of the target group-the elderly. We will seek expert opinion from nursing homes and hospitals on existing solutions that cater to this group. We will then work to find ways to improve current practices, technologies and research into future solutions.

Armed with research, user input and our own ideas on tackling the problem at hand, we will then proceed to prototype a solution that would of course be the first of many iterations. Each iteration would go through a user input, and expert review before redevelopment.
